You cannot issue your own Record of Employment—but you can see whether it was filed, know what to check and take the next step without losing time.
Service Canada says to apply right away. You can send required documents after applying, and a delay of more than 4 weeks after your last day may cost benefits.

Open MSCAAsk the employer or payroll contact in writing. If the normal filing timeframe has passed and it is still missing, contact Service Canada.
Create a requestWrite down the specific block and the correct information, attach supporting pay records and ask the employer to submit an amended ROE.
See what to checkApply as soon as possible even when the ROE is missing. Service Canada will need ROEs from each employer to decide the claim.
Apply for EIA difference is not automatically an error, but it is a reason to ask payroll for an explanation before it delays your claim.
Your name and Social Insurance Number are correct
The first day worked and last day paid look right
The final pay period ending date matches your last payroll
The reason for issuing the ROE matches what happened
Insurable hours and earnings align with your pay records
Vacation pay, severance or other separation payments are included where required
Keep a copy of your written request and your pay records. Service Canada says to contact them when you requested the ROE, the filing timeframe has passed and it still has not been issued.
